为贯彻落实习近平文化思想和全球文明倡议，促进国际青少年文化艺术交流，鼓励青少年通过绘画艺术，展现科技创新在应对风险挑战、促进和平发展方面的推动作用，在中国人民对外友好协会指导下，北京市人民对外友好协会、北京市科学技术协会、北京市人民政府新闻办公室、北京市人民政府侨务办公室、北京市妇女联合会、共青团北京市委员会、中国电影博物馆与北京市民间组织国际交流促进会等单位共同举办2024“多彩世界”国际青少年绘画邀请展（以下简称绘画展）。活动由天津市人民对外友好协会、河北省人民对外友好协会等协办。

绘画展面向全球青少年征集绘画作品和公益视频，共收到画作5.2万幅。其中，国内作品覆盖31个省级行政区和港澳台地区，国际画作来自美国、澳大利亚、德国、西班牙、毛里求斯、印度尼西亚等63个国家。评选出国际获奖画作427幅、国内获奖画作2128幅。

一年来，绘画展历年获奖作品在多个重要场合展出。为庆祝中法建交60周年，由北京市政府新闻办、中国外文局主办的2024“遇鉴中国”中华文化主题展在法国巴黎国际博览会开幕，展示“多彩世界”绘画展获奖作品18幅。在习近平总书记对澳大利亚国事访问十周年之际，由北京市政府新闻办主办的“魅力北京”文化交流活动亮相“活力悉尼”灯光音乐节，“多彩世界”绘画展澳籍青少年获奖作品在活动中展出。

绘画展于2024年11月23日（周六）在中国电影博物馆举办颁奖典礼暨获奖作品展开幕式，于11月23日（周六）至12月7日（周六）在中国电影博物馆二层（国际获奖作品）、三层（国内获奖作品）举办线下展览，并在专题网站（colorfulworld.waae.com.cn）同步举办线上展览。获奖青少年可通过专题网站查询及下载获奖证书。

In order to implement President Xi Jinping’s Thought on Culture and the Global Civilization Initiative, promote international youth cultural and artistic exchanges, and encourage young people to demonstrate the role of technological innovation in addressing risks and challenges as well as promoting peace and development through painting, the 2024 “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Painting Exhibition) is co-hosted by Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Beijing Association for Science and Technology, Information Office of Beijing Municipality, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal People’s Government, Beijing Women’s Federation, China Communist Youth League Beijing Committee, China National Film Museum, and Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges under the guidance of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and co-organized by Tianjin People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Hebei People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

The Painting Exhibition called for painting works and public welfare videos from young people around the world, and a total of 52000 paintings were received. Among them, domestic works covered 31 provincial-level administrative regions, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, while international works came from 63 countries, including the United States, Australia, Germany, Spain, Mauritius, and Indonesia. A total of 427 international award-winning paintings and 2128 domestic award-winning paintings were selected. 

In 2024, the award-winning works from the Painting Exhibitions of past years have been showcased at several important events. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, the 2024 “Breath of the East”: Thematic Exhibition on Chinese Culture, co-hosted by the Information Office of Beijing Municipality and China International Communications Group, was opened at the Paris International Exposition in France, featuring 18 works from the Painting Exhibition. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Australia, the “Charm of Beijing” cultural exchange event, hosted by the Information Office of Beijing Municipality, was presented at the “Vivid Sydney” Light and Music Festival, where works by Australian youth were displayed.

The awarding ceremony and the opening of the exhibition of awarded works is held on Nov. 23rd, 2024 at China National Film Museum. The offline exhibition will be held till Dec. 7th on the second floor (for international works) and the third floor (for domestic works). An online exhibition will be held simultaneously on the official website (colorfulworld.waae.com.cn) where award-winning certificates may also be inquired and downloaded.
